2013 Top Fives – David Knight
Honda, Sherco, EWC, SuperEnduro – David Knight packed a lot into the 2013 season. Enduro21 takes a look back at the five most popular David Knight features from the last 12 months…
The highest viewed David Knight feature in 2013 is ‘Knight’s Day In The Mud’. Coming straight in at number one this video grabbed everyone’s attention when Knight brought road race legends John McGuinness, Jonathan Rea and Carl Crutchlow out for a laid back, muddy day of enduro riding on the Isle of Man.
2. David Knight – “Hard Enduro is my new future”
In the build up to the final round of the EWC in France, David dropped the bombshell that the GP of France would be his last. Never afraid to voice his discontent about the direction the EWC has taken, Knight confirmed that he will focus his attention towards Hard Enduro and SuperEnduro from 2014 onwards.
3. Onboard – Knighter EnduroCross Hot Lap
With the opening round of the SuperEnduro World Championship just around the corner, David released one of the first videos of him in action on his Sherco. Training in the Isle of Man, he literally ripped his endurocross track to shreds.
4. Onboard – David Knight’s SuperEnduro Win
Damn, we got lucky when we mounted a GoPro on David for Final #2 at the SuperEnduro in Barcelona back in February. The reversed starting order delivered up some incredible action as Knight rode his way from last to first to capture his debut victory with Honda. With over 200,000 on Youtube it’s our most popular video to date.
5. Knight Dominates EnduroCross Vellahan In Germany
Making one of his first public appearances with Sherco, Knight opted to contest the Vellahn EnduroCross in Germany. Fending off Andreas Lettenbichler, Kornel Nemeth and Paul Bolton, the Manxman claimed an easy start-to-finish victory.
Honorary Mention – David Knight – How I Won In Poland
Sneaking in at the end of the year, David’s ‘How I Won In Poland’ blog proved popular enough that it deserved an honorary mention. His first world championship victory since switching to Sherco, everyone wanted to know from the ‘Big Man’ himself just how he did it.
