BEC – DOUBLE KNIGHTON WIN FOR JAMIE MCCANNEY

McCanney had a close fight in the Welsh forest with Steve Holcombe throughout Saturday’s round five, claiming the eventual win after a costly mistake on the final test forced Holcombe to settle for second.
The fight for the top spot heated up during Sunday’s race, with Manxman David Knight showing great speed and consistency. Despite his best effort he lost out on victory by a tiny margin of less than one-second.
Riding on familiar Welsh ground, Husqvarna’s Joe Wooton held off Tom Sagar’s assault on both days to end up with two fourth place finishes. Sagar was fifth at both rounds and will have to step up his game in order to retain his 2014 championship title.
With four wins out of six rounds in 2015, McCanney has now shown himself as the rider to beat going into the upcoming races in less than two weeks. But with five rounds remaining, anything is possible in the Championship class of the British Enduro Championship.
The ACU Edmondson Racing British Enduro Championship continues with the Tarenig Enduro, Mid Wales on August 15/16.
