Husqvarna’s Pela Renet set the pace at Canada Heights to grab the overall win at round one of the Enduro21 ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship, powered by Husqvarna Motorcycles.
Locked in a daylong battle with Beta’s Danny McCanney, Renet kept his nose in front of the Manxman to take a narrow 13-second margin of victory.
Despite Renet topping seven of the day’s eight special tests, McCanney made the Frenchman work for his win. Fastest in the penultimate test of the day, McCanney ended his day a well-deserved second in the Elite class.

Slow to start, KTM’s Tom Sagar gradually worked his way into contention to take third. Fighting hard with Daryl Bolter (KTM) during the midway point in the day, Sagar edged away from Bolter as the day progressed to take third.
Impressing in his first ride in the Elite class, Husqvarna’s Jack Rowland beat France’s Fabien Planet (Sherco) to take fourth.
Rob Johnson made it a winning debut ride in the Under 23 category.

Switching to a KTM 250 two-stroke for Canada Heights, Brad Freeman was one of only three riders to crack the six-minute mark and easily topped the Under 19 class.
Jack Staines (KTM) won the 125 Youth class while Carl Brogden (TM) secured a start to finish win in the Expert class.

Defending champion Andrew Reeves topped the Expert Vets and Gary Jones (KTM) was the fastest Clubman Vet.
The Clubman class win went to Reece Morewood and Jane Daniels topped the Women’s class.
