Uelsen was the scene for the opening round of the German Enduro Championship last weekend. And with two sweet looking special tests, including a sandy lakeside one, it looked like a cool place to be.

With the new season bringing new colours, all eyes were on the sharp end of the results to see who would come out swinging at round one.
At the end of day one Husqvarna’s Denis Schröter ruled the roost. Winning all but one of the day’s six special tests he placed over 21 seconds clear of newly Sherco mounted Marcus Kehr. Behind the two leading Enduro 3 riders, Andreas Beier beat Derrick Görner by less than four seconds to steal third.
On day two the overall results were a carbon copy of day one. But this time Schröter didn’t have things all his own way. Dramatically closing the gap, Kehr picked up three test wins to finish a much improved six seconds behind the Husqvarna rider.
