Enduro21 has just learned that Graham Jarvis has been ruled out of this weekend’s British Extreme Enduro Championship event due to a shoulder injury.
During a recent training session, Jarvis got some wire trapped in his rear wheel and was suddenly threw over the handlebars of his Husqvarna.
Landing awkwardly on his right shoulder, Jarvis has now been advised to rest for two weeks. That means he is ruled out of the final round of the British Extreme Enduro Championship at Eddy’s Xtreme at Cowm Quarry this Sunday but will still attend the event.
Jarvis will be back to his best for The Tough One at Hawkstone Park in April.
Confirming his injury with Enduro21, Jarvis remarked…
“It’s disappointing to miss the race this weekend but thankfully my injury is not too serious. Nothing is broken. During a training session I got some wire trapped in my rear wheel – it wasn’t anyones fault – but it locked up the bike and spat me over the handlebars. Before I knew it I was lying on the ground.
“Luckily it seems that I should be ok in two weeks after a bit of rest. It’s never a good time to get injured but with plenty of time to be ready for The Tough One this won’t affect my preparation for the race.”
