The Enduropale Du Touquet hits the shores of Le Touquet this weekend.
The single most important beach race in France – if not the world – will see up to 1200 riders battle the bottomless French sands.
Always a race that inspires drama and excitement, this year’s event is expected to be no different. Jean Claude Mousse starts with the #1 plate but rival Milko Potisek will be out to avenge his agonising loss of 2013. Potisek, the only rider to complete eight laps last year was cruelly denied the win on a countback when the race was cut short due to an incoming tide.

Nicolas Aubin, Marc de Reuver and Steve Ramon also take to the start line but it’s Antoine Meo who will be worth keeping an eye on.
Meo made his Le Touquet debut in 2013 and despite a crash filled lap one, he recovered to finish fifth. The E1 champ means business this time around – he’s out to win. Can Meo beat the world’s best beach racers at their own game? We certainly hope so – fingers crossed!
