Laia Sanz was on fire during the prologue stage of the Merzouga Rally in Morocco.
Staying on in Morocco following last week’s Rally of Morocco to gain a bit more pre-Dakar training, Sanz beat Brucy Arnold – prologue winner in 2013 – Johnny Aubert and the very experienced Ullevaalsetter Pal Anders to take an early lead in the race.
“The prologue was very short but it was a cool surprise to take the win,” told Laia.
