Japan’s leading Hard Enduro rider Taichi Tanaka has announced that 2014 will be his last time competing at the Erzbergrodeo.
Tanaka, a four-time finisher of the race and much-loved personality in the paddock, has decided that this year will be his final blast around the Iron Giant.
“This is the my last challenge for Erzberg rodeo,” told Tanaka. “To tell the truth, I couldn’t spend all my time riding because I have to work everyday for my life. Often, I can ride motorcycle just once at week.
“I have always managed to reach the finish line of that hard race. I know I can do it again this year but to cap off my time there with a podium would be incredible. I’ll be giving it my best shot.”

The 20th edition of the Erzbergrodeo takes place from May 29 – June 01
