DAILY DIARY – 2015 ERZBERGRODEO, SATURDAY
The calm before the storm. Saturday marked the final day of the Iron Road Prologue. For some it was a last chance to the fastest 500 who qualify while for others it was a day of rest.
Of the pros only a few made the start today. Jonny Walker led them away pretty much safe in the knowledge that his time from the previous day would not be beaten.
Taddy Blazusiak provisionally third and guaranteed a front row start opted not to race today. He’s saving himself for Sunday’s hard graft.
The Brit pack suit up for the prologue run.
The queue for the prologue was a long one. Smoke breaks were frequent for some.
Take a wander around the paddock and you easily find some hidden gems. Here’s a KTM 80 MX – vintage!
Scott Bouverie gets hard on the gas.
This things rips. 1000cc, 4 cylinders and 160HP and 210 km/h top speed. Hang on tight.
Hydration is the key in this heat.
Jane Daniels – a last minute entry for the prologue only – set the fastest women’s time. Nice one Jane!
It was dusty as hell out there.
Today’s agenda sorted.
