Daley blasts back!
Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough – Cock o’the North, 20th & 21st July
After a 10-week hiatus in the race schedule due to the injury sustained at Tandragee, Daley was excited by the prospect of getting back on the bikes and racing again! Both the Honda CBR1000RR and Suzuki GSX-R600 were entered.
The weather was excellent, with only a hint of dampness for a short while on Saturday. Practice on both bikes on both days went well, though there were a few mechanical problems which had to be overcome during Saturday’s practice in particular. But with the problems sorted both bikes performed very well with some very good results returned on both bikes in a hectic schedule for all the team. The “Blue Riband” event was, of course, the Cock o’the North race itself and Daley was absolutely delighted with his 5th place, gained on the Honda.
Daley states "The Michelin tyres contributed heavily to the success, performing admirably and without fault, they really assured me with their grip levels on the circuit…"
Saturday was Daley’s birthday too, celebrated with family, team and friends. We at Michelin extend our congratulations to Daley, both for his fantastic return to form, and for his recent birthday.
