David Knight – “Nothing’s confirmed yet…”

With rumours circulating the Internet that David Knight has signed a multi-year, multi-million Euro deal (ok, we made that bit up!) to race for Sherco in 2014, Enduro21.com got on the phone and called the big man for a little clarification. Here’s what DK had to say on Wednesday morning…

“Nothing’s been finalised yet with Sherco, but you can expect an announcement soon. It’s true that after the Enduro World Championship final I stayed in France for some testing with Sherco, and things went really well. Like I’ve said my focus now is on hard enduro and indoor enduro events, and that fits with Sherco’s plans. They’ve increased their involvement in the EWC in the last year, and now want to do the same in hard and indoor events.

“Sherco and myself haven’t issued any official information yet, so we have no idea where all the ‘official’ news has come from. I guess it shows that people are interested in both what myself and Sherco are planning. I’m close to an agreement, but right now nothing’s 100 per cent. I’m off out riding now, I have some testing to do…”
