FREERIDE ROMANIACS WITH PAUL BOLTON

Paul Bolton is a dab hand when it comes to riding enduro bikes in extreme places. At this year’s Red Bull Romaniacs, Bolton was easily one of the standout performers of the gruelling weeklong race.

Topping the prologue and then going on to win the fourth and final day of the race, the privateer – who’s day job is road sweeping – placed a massively impressive fourth overall. Incredibly he missed out on a podium result by just four minutes.

But before the real racing even began in Romania, Bolton hooked up with Throttle Entertainment and Red Bull Media House and put his riding skills to the ultimate test. Away from the nearby rugged Carpathian Mountains, the crew found an abandoned coal factory known locally as Petrilla.

From the depths of the mineshafts through the desolate conveyor chutes to the rooftop of the factory, Bolton put the KTM Freeride through its paces in spectacular style.
