GERMAN ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIP – TUCHEIM
The seventh round of the German Enduro Championship headed for Tucheim last weekend. Deep sand delivered plenty of drama.
The biggest shock of the day was the early retirement of Marcus Kehr. In the hunt for the E3 title and overall honours Kehr was faced with an early exit when he suffered clutch problems. Incredibly it marked his first non-score in the German series in over nine years.
With Kehr dropping out, championship leader Dennis Schröter was handed an easier road to victory. Winning eight of the day’s 11 specials he moved another step closer to the E3 title.
Fresh off his assault at last weekend’s Red Bull Sea to Sky in Turkey the sand did little to phase Edward Hübner. Eighth in Turkey, Hübner was more than pleased to win E1 in Tucheim.
