GREAT BRITAIN READY FOR ISDE SLOVAKIA
Now just over one week away until this year’s ISDE in Slovakia begins Team Great Britain are ready to take the startline.
The six-strong World Trophy team will feature Jamie McCanney, David Knight, Tom Sagar, Jack Rowland, Jamie Lewis and Joe Wootton.
As the current leader of the Enduro Junior World Championship, Husqvarna’s Jamie McCanney is on form heading into Slovakia, likewise Tom Sagar – who’s just recently taken control of the overall lead in the European Enduro Championship – is eager to get started.
Back on the GB team after a few years absence, Knight will be looking to recreate some of that magic that saw him win the ISDE outright when the event last visited Slovakia in 2005.
Jack Rowland – a three-time medal winner in the Junior Trophy class – Joe Wootton and Jamie Lewis back up McCanney, Knight and Sagar.
In the Junior World Trophy class, Britain have a young but determined team with Josh Gotts, Lee Sealey, James Dent and Rob Johnson flying the flag.
Gotts makes his ISDE debut in the Junior class and is excited about the prospect of representing his country on the world stage… “I have such a passion for enduro and since I first sat on a bike it became a goal of mine to ride in the ISDE. I’m absolutely stoked.”
Josh’s pride and enthusiasm was echoed by fellow Junior rider, Lee Sealey… “To be picked for the GB Junior is a dream come true. We have a good team and I believe we can put in a strong performance.”
Gotts and Sealey will be joined by James Dent and Rob Johnson – both of whom have experience at International level.
The ACU British ISDE Team will receive support from Rygor for the 2015 event. Marking the 10th year of support from Rygor – the UK’s largest Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle Dealer group –
They will be provided with two vehicles to transport not only the bikes but also all the essential equipment, tools and gear that the ten strong squad will need throughout the gruelling event.
