Hell’s Gate Metzeler 2014 – February 15

Last year, a week before the start of the edition of the tenth anniversary, Hell’s Gate was in danger. The mountain was inaccessible under a thick blanket of snow. The ice storm had rendered inaccessible even the less dramatic sections of Fasola’s event.
Less then three days before the start, the sun had returned to bless one of the most picturesque corners of the Tuscan Apennines, the paths of hell were reopened, and Hell’s Gate Metzeler 2013 would become one of the most unmerciful balanced editions. Graham Jarvis won for the third time.
Jonny Walker had collapsed at the end of the climb impossible, but he had saved the second place, just a moment before being attacked by Cody Webb. Alfredo Gomez and Ben Hemingway were the last Riders and Heroes to overcome it.
