HIGHLIGHTS – US HARE & HOUND ROUND EIGHT
Highlights from round eight of the US National Hare & Hound series from Nevada
THR Motosports’ Ricky Brabec has been on top form in his first full year of AMA/SRT National Hare and Hound racing. Round eight of the championship marked his second win of the season and the moment when the point’s battle shifted in his favour.
At the drop of the banner it was Blais Racing’s Skyler Howes who took the Speed Freak Holeshot award but Brabec, and Purvines Racing’s Nick Burson were all right in contention entering the first wash section.
Brabrec made quick work on Howes and started to stretch a gap going into the pits. Untroubled for the remainder of the race Brabec’s win gained him a 10-point margin Burson in the championship chase.
Howes held onto the runner-up result and card a career best finish while Axel Pearson completed the top three.
Nursing an injury, Burson came home fourth.
KTM’s Ivan Ramirez – running third in points and the only other rider who could mathematically take the championship – battled to recover from a terrible to finish fifth.
