Hollis Aiming For Enduro-X Title In Melbourne

The final round of the Australian Enduro-X series heads to Melbourne this weekend and it’s Yamaha’s Chris Hollis that heads the championship standings.

Ensuring a dominant start to his new season with Yamaha, Hollis has been on song at the first two rounds of the series in Brisbane and Parramatta, winning both finals.

Hoping to secure a hat trick of wins and wrap up the title in Melbourne, Hollis is the rider everyone will be trying hard to beat.

Making a strong return from injury, KTM’s Toby Price has quickly got back to top form. Second overall in the championship – but 13 points behind Hollis – Price is aiming for victory this weekend…

“We’ve been into it a fair bit this week – riding every day. It’s been great to get a lot of bike time and now we’ll just see if we can bring home a win. I’ve spent a bit more time on the 350 and feel really good on it, and I’ve been trying a few new skills and brushing up on a few things. I know I can do a bit more with it now, so I’m looking forward to seeing how this third round pans out.”

A further 13 points behind Price, Yamaha’s Daniel Milner is third overall.

Third at round two, Husqvarna’s Mike Brown has stayed in Australia to contest the final race in Melbourne. Out of contention for the title, Brown is still looking to return home with a race win.

“It’s been a really good couple of weeks for me,” told Brown. “It’s been cool staying with Toby Price. We’ve got a lot of Enduro-X practice done this week, so we should be on top form this weekend. I’m riding really good so hopefully a win is possible on Sunday”
