Joakim Ljunggren To Defend Novemberkasan Crown

Joakim Ljunggren heads the line up of riders set to contest this weekend’s Novemberkasan in Sweden.
The race, which is the oldest and most important in Sweden, is also the toughest.
The Novemberkasan will see competitors race a two-part enduro. In the morning, the 186 riders entered will complete one lap of the 120km long loop that will feature five special tests of almost 45 minutes each in length. At night, riders then return to the track and complete another two laps in darkness.

In 2012, Ljunggren – a five-time winner of the race – crossed the finish line just after 3am to beat the 24 other riders that managed to complete the distance set.
Returning to defend his title, Ljunggren will be hoping to deliver Husqvarna their first victory in the race since Anders Eriksson in 2003.
