Juha Salminen Out Of The ISDE

Finland’s Juha Salminen is a shock withdrawal from this year’s ISDE in Sardinia. After a hectic season of racing, Salminen has decided to forego his place on the Finnish ISDE team.
In a year, which has saw the Husqvarna rider contest the Enduro World Championship, Italian Enduro Championship plus Enduro X at X Games Munich, Salminen will take an early winter break.
“This decision does not involve any great drama,” told Salminen. “It’s been a very busy season and I feel it’s best to leave the ISDE out. I’ve competed in the ISDE since 1995 and only missed the race twice. This year I felt it was time to take a break.”
Involved with the Finnish ISDE team since 1995, Salminen has only missed the event twice. Once through injury and then due to conflicting dates in his GNCC Racing schedule.
He has won the World Trophy team competition six times with Finland and won the Junior World Trophy team category with Finland in 1996.
