KTM’s Extreme Enduro Team Unveiled

Extreme Enduro is on the rise. The excitement, drama and non-stop action has captured everyone’s attention. And for 2014 KTM have pushed forward and increased their involvement in the sport with a three-rider Extreme Enduro team.

Joining Jonny Walker to represent the Austrian marquee at all of the major Hard Enduro events will be Germany’s Andreas Lettenbichler and Philipp Schloz.

Walker heads the KTM line-up. 2013 wasn’t overly kind to the Brit. Illness, injury and plenty of bad luck held him back. But he bounced back to win the Red Bull Sea to Sky in style. Motivated, healthy and fitter than ever Walker’s sole focus is challenging Graham Jarvis for the top step of the podium.

Lettenbichler, a long-termer on the extreme scene, needs little introduction. Securing countless podium results over the years with BMW and then the outdated Husqvarna, Letti will be looking to make 2014 count with KTM. Fourth at Hell’s Gate – despite carrying an injury – it’s Erzberg and the Red Bull Romaniacs where he really shines.

Scholz is a new name on the Hard Enduro scene. Steadily chipping away at his results, it was last year’s Red Bull Sea to Sky that became his breakthrough ride. Fifth overall against some of the best names in the business, Schloz is keen to learn from Walker and Letti and become a regular top five guy as the season progresses.

With KTM joining Husqvarna, Beta, Gas Gas and also Sherco’s David Knight in the Hard Enduro paddock, 2014 is looking bright indeed!
