KTM’s New 450 Rally Bike To Debut In Morocco
The new KTM 450 Rally will be given a thorough shakedown during next week’s Oilibya Rally of Morocco.
As the last true desert rally on the calendar before January’s Dakar Rally, the Rally of Morocco, which replaces the cancelled Pharaon’s Rally as the final round of the 2013 FIM Cross-Country Rallies World Championship, will provide the perfect setting to test the bike.
With official information yet to be released, this spy shoot from Marc Coma still gives us an idea of what the bike looks like.
Judging from the photo, the bike appears to be slimmer and more streamlined than its predecessor, with fuel tanks housed in the subframe. The bike also continues with KTM’s distinctive trellis frame specifically designed for rally competition.
The Oilibya Rally of Morocco, 13-19 October, will also see Team HRC’s new Honda CRF 450 Rally in competitive action for the first time.
