michelin and the enduro world series
At the second round of the Enduro World Series in Val d’Allos Sunday, June 30 Michelin was on the podium for the second time in two races. This time Nicolas Vouilloz is won the race on Michelin.
At the end of the 6 stage special weekend, Nicolas Vouilloz was overall winner. He beat Australian Jared GRAVES (Yeti) by 6 seconds. The reigning world downhill champion Greg Minaar (SantaCruz Syndicate) was also on the podium.
The ground was dry, dusty and rocky and very demanding for the mechanics and for the tyres in particular.
Six stages had 10,000m total vertical drops.
All the development work with Fabien Barel allowed Michelin to offer a wide choice of tyres for the Enduro series in order to suit all types of terrain.
Nico chose
– Front tire mixed : 27.5×2.35 MICHELIN Wild Grip’R Advanced Reinforced gum PROTOTYPE
– Rear tyre:
– Stage 1 & Satge 2: 27.5×2.35 Michelin PROTOTYPE “Enduro Extreme Terrain” sculpture and gum PROTOTYPE:
– Stage 3 Stage 4 & Stage 5: 27.5×2.25 MICHELIN Wild Race’R Advanced Reinforced Gum-X Series in a prototype version
– Stage 6: 27.5×2.35 MICHELIN Wild Grip’R Advanced Reinforced Gum-X Series (in the current range)
