MILNER MAKES IT AN A4DE HATTRICK
CDR Yamaha’s Daniel Milner has won the 2014 Yamaha Australian Four Day Enduro (A4DE)
The 2014 victory has made it a hat trick of wins for Milner and Yamaha having previously won the event in 2012 and 2013.
Mounted on his YZ450F, Milner won the event with a 25 second gap over Toby Price after two and a half hours racing over the four days. Milner didn’t need to win the final motocross test and kept Toby Price in sight to secure the outright.
“I’m so happy right now, Milner told with excitement. “With my recent ankle injury, getting back to anywhere near 100% was going to be difficult so to be able to recover from that and then win the Four Day is really special.”

Price enjoyed a Herculean struggle with defending A4DE Champion Daniel Milner. Despite winning his fair share of special tests it was ultimately a slow start to the event for Price that saw the two-time champion yield to Milner over Days One and Two on the way to second overall.

“I wasn’t too switched on in the first couple of days and it’s just unfortunate that I couldn’t claw it back,” explained Price. “Over the four days of racing we had about 30 tests so the difference probably averages out at about a half a second per test, so it was pretty close.”
Ensuring Yamaha ruled the roost at the A4DE, Milner’s teammate Chris Hollis joined him on the podium in third.
Hollis led the event early and in the end less than a minute separated the top three.
“There is no disgrace finishing behind Dan and Toby – I can leave here knowing that I gave it everything I had,” confirmed Hollis.
“The difference between winning and coming third was a couple of tests of day two where I made a couple of mistakes. I have no regrets and I’m really happy with how the week turned out.”
