Dennis Schröter continues to be the rider to beat. At home on the deep sands of Burg the Husqvarna rider topped the outright classification both days while also taking E3.
Try as he might Marcus Kehr just didn’t have the measure of Schröter in Burg. He was however next best and brought his Sherco home for second in both the outright and E3.
As the first two-day event on the 2014 calendar Burg was well received by all. Deep sandy special tests might be physical but they’re always a berm-bashing blast to ride so what was not to love about that!
Behind both Schröter and Kehr the times were tight between those bidding for the final step of the podium. Twenty-five seconds split sixth place Derrick Görner (pictured) from Edward Hübner in third.
The sandy tests attracted a few guests from across the boarder. Dutchman Wesley Pittens faired best of the visitors and took third in E3
