The Michelin StarCross 5 Medium rear tyres have taken over from the S12 as the preferred non FIM /Road legal endurotyre.
Bib Mousse in S12 was always a tight fit due to sizing, but with new Michelin StarCross 5 Medium rears, a M14 (140 Mousse) or a M18 (120 Mousse) will fit both the 110/100/18 or 120/90/18. We have tested the Soft Compound StarCross 5 with bedded in M14 mousse and it works very well on Extreme/rocky type going.
Top Tip: When your M14 mousse is worn and feels to soft to go back in new FIM 140 Enduro tyre, give it a final few non FIM / practice events in a 120/90/18 StarCross.
