The Wall Extreme Enduro was a new format where special test racing was mixed with extreme enduro.

The morning race featured two special tests – cross and enduro – which were rode four times each. The top 40 riders qualified for the nighttime main event.

An elimination style nighttime extreme special test saw those 40 riders whittled down during three laps.
