Kailub Russell On A Roll Heading Into Rattlesnake National Enduro

Kailub Russell is on quite a roll heading into this weekend’s Rattlesnake National Enduro presented by Rocky Mountain ATV/MC, round seven of the Kenda AMA National Enduro Series in Cross Fork, Pennsylvania.

In addition to adding to his points lead, the FMF/KTM rider is hoping to come away with his third win in a row on July 26th at the Pennsylvania event.

Staged at the Quiet Oaks Campground in central Pennsylvania, the Rattlesnake National Enduro presented by Rocky Mountain ATV/MC is known for its famous grass track in the valley as part of the first test, as well as its notorious “rock garden” section, which separates the men from the boys.

Hosted by the Brandywine Riders Club, the “Rattlesnake” is a classic Pennsylvania enduro. Starting at the campground, the epic grass track kicks off the event and then it’s a short ride to the forest for some technical sections.

Once underway, Russell will have plenty of competition from defending series champ Andrew DeLong on his Rockstar Energy Factory Husqvarna and four-time enduro champ Russell Bobbitt on an FMF/KTM four-stroke. Bobbitt sits 28 points behind Russell in the series standings and Bobbitt would like nothing more than to cut into that lead this weekend.

Other riders vying for the podium will be 2012 series champ Steward Baylor on a Moto-Tech KTM, Steward’s brother Grant Baylor on an Am Pro Yamaha and MotoSport.com/Am Pro Yamaha’s Brad Bakken, who is capable of a win at any time.

Of course, you can’t rule out up-and-comer Ryder Lafferty (nephew of Mike Lafferty) on the AirGroup Racing Husqvarna, and factory Beta USA teammates Jesse Groemm and Cory Buttrick.

Two notable entries are AirGroup Racing’s Nick Fahringer, who will make his return to racing after missing almost a year with a knee injury, and former Motocross star, Broc Hepler, who will be racing from row 36A.
