Salvini Crowned Italian Enduro Champion

Adding to an already incredible season, Honda’s Alex Salvini successfully defended his Italian Enduro Championship at the final round of the series in Cassano Magnano.
Entering the series finale with a healthy 18-point advantage over nearest rival Husaberg’s Thomas Oldrati, Salvini was all but assured the title.
Ending the Saturday night SuperTest in sixth overall, the Italian then upped his pace once the race began in earnest on Sunday. Topping six of the day’s special tests, the Honda rider eased his way to victory and the championship.
“After the victory of Enduro 2 title in July, my objective was to win the overall championship too,” confirmed Salvini.
“I arrived to Cassano Magnano motivated to do well. Everything was all right – in a special test I lost time due to a fall but then I recovered without problems. I’m very happy with this victory, winning to championships has been incredible.”
With his national championship now secured, Salvini can set his sights on claiming the biggest title of the all – the Enduro 2 World Championship – in France this coming weekend.
“There’s no time to celebrate just yet. Now I’m off to France to prepare for the final round of the EWC in France. After these two titles now I have to be focused on the world one – I can’t wait to get on the bike in Saint Flour”.
