SuperEnduro France – Practice Report
Taddy Blazusiak has set the fastest time to top the Prestige class heading into tonight’s final round of the SuperEnduro World Championship in France.
Laying down the quickest lap time during the afternoon’s timed practice, Blazusiak blisteringly fast pace put him over one second clear of Jonny Walker.
“I knew that was going to be a fast one,” laughed Blazusiak. “There were at least three moments that I thought ‘this is going to hurt’ but I managed to save them and keep on the gas. Hopefully I can do it again and win the Super Pole.”
All morning it was Walker who had led the way by topping Free Practice. But unable to get a clear run at the track, and with Blazusiak laying it on the line, he slipped back to second.
“I didn’t get a clear run during Timed Practice but I feel comfortable with my pace – I know I can ride like that all night long,” told Walker.
Having fun with the course, Mathias Bellino placed less than two tenths of a second behind Walker for third.
Ensuring second to fourth were split by less than half a second – David Knight was close behind in fourth. But with the Manxman’s fastest lap coming on his first lap he knows there’s more to find.
“It was busy out there and only my first lap was clear,” explained Knight. “I’ve qualified for Super Pole so I’m happy about that. This track is built for racing, there’s lots of places to pass so I’m not too worried about lap times – the final’s will tell a different story.”
With practice over there’s now a four hour siesta until racing gets underway at 20.00hrs…
